As of the 2011-2012 season, FTC within Massachusetts has new Affiliate Partners, John and Loretta.
John has been a mentor within FTC for three seasons. Beginning with the 2008-2009 season, FaceOff!, John was a mentor with FTC 2875 – MITiBot. Each year John and the MITiBots earned an invitation to the World Championships. However, it was this past 2010-2011 season of GetOverIt! in which John was able to see the MITiBots become a member of the winning alliance at the World Championships is St. Louis.
John earned his Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2002. In August of 2011, John completed his Masters degree in Software Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. His background in hardware and software is a great resource to draw from while mentoring students participating in FTC.
